Springtime

It's hard to believe Spring Break has come and gone. The kids were surprised about their Disney trip and were even more excited when they found out my mom and sister & her kids were joining us. Many wonderful memories were made on that trip! We had perfect weather and the crowds weren't too bad. They all got to do and see everything they wanted to. I enjoyed having my mom and sis with me!

Caroline Claire saw ID on Friday and he's going to review her labs and chat with her Pulm. and ENT and decide where to go. He does agree with a lavage and even talked PICC, central line, or port. NONE of those sound good to me. Soooo, it's a wait and see at this point. Dr. D needs to lengthen her VEPTR--how convenient would it be if he and ENT could coordinate the two?!

Tate walked the field with his team at Turner Field on Saturday. He loved it! He's really playing well this season. I'm going to put him on a swim team this summer--My little fish! He's registered for Kindergarten and is soo excited to go to school with Caroline.

Beauty and the Beast

Today was Caroline's last performance in her school's Beauty and the Beast musical. She had a fantastic time and what a great experience it was for her. She played Maurice's Invention which was perfect for her--and her chair! She has spent the last month practicing. We're sad it's over, but ready to get back to the books! She's enjoyed having her cousins up from Ft. Lauderdale this weekend too. Trying to get through this last week before spring break. It's to no surprise she's febrile today. I think she caught a cold. Let's pray it stays just that. She was in the ER three weeks ago w/ hypoxia & pneumonia. Caught that one early. We'll be at the doctor's office bright and early tomorrow morning...

My sister and her kids came up this week & we took the kids to 'Noog for the day.

Happy Valentine's Day

Caroline has her Valentine Dance at school today. She and Sophie didn't stop talking about it yesterday. They're super excited ( and a little nervous too!). C's CT is this afternoon--in Alpharetta--what was I thinking?? Just ready to get this one behind us. Doug's heading out to NOLA early in the am. Going to enjoy Mardi Gras with his buddies. We're looking forward to hanging out with The Smith's this weekend after our Valentine lunch with the Green's and Stanley's. Good times!! Happy Valentine's Day!! Mmmmmwah!

Happy Friday everyone! Tate celebrated his birthday Wednesday at Monster Golf and had a blast! He has some super sweet friends. Today was his 5 yr check up. Cannot believe my baby's 5 years old. He's excited about Kindergarten and going to school with his "Sissy." Caroline's actually excited about having him there too. I'll have bookends. It'll be our easiest year having them on the same schedule. Caroline's still busy practicing for Beauty and the Beast. We're looking into some art classes for her for this spring, probably oil painting again, but would love to try something new. Her CT is Friday. She's doing great. I'll post results. January

Saw the ENT Monday. He ordered a CT scan after her 20 day abx tx. That'll give us a better idea of what's going on. He did say that the vent can stir things up and she may or may not need some work done. She feels great and is loving this early release week! Took the kids to Aunt T's yesterday. They love it down there. Not much else is going on. Tate's counting down the days 'til his b-day party. Got him signed up for baseball again this Spring. Caroline's down to Chorus and is enjoying a lighter schedule. Her school's performance is in March so things are about to get busy. I'm starting to think about where to go for Spring Break.

Happy New Year!! The kids are glad to be back in school (yes, it's true) and back on a schedule. Chorus is in full swing and we're busy planning Tate's 5th birthday party. Caroline got her report card this week. 5 A's and 2 B's. So proud of her! The kids have a new cousin, Nicolas, in Ft. Lauderdale. Hope to meet him this summer!

Miss C woke up with another fever this am. This will be her third sinusitis since October and I suspect, given her sinus history, that this will need to be addressed by the ENT. Overall, she's doing really well. I'll update again soon.
